April 1, 2004
After the rainiest February in a decade, March turned into a lamb. No rain for three weeks, and some days the temperature got into the 80's. Our builder really started making some progress.

May to June 2004
Construction finally moved to the inside.

May 10, 2004: The interior has been gutted to the bare walls. Everything inside will be new.

June 5, 2004: Demolition is over, now we get to rebuild. Insulation everywhere. No more drafty winter nights!


July 18, 2004
The construction pace has picked up. We are seeing substantial progress both inside and out.

Vertical cedar siding is replacing the old board-and-batten exterior. The siding is mostly done, but not painted yet.

What a difference the finished walls make! The whole character of Bella Vista will be different than you remember the next time you visit.

The kitchen has been modernized and made more accessible to socializing while you cook.

The living room fireplace has been relocated. This wall of Chinese Autumn slate, which matches the entry, will be a focal point.
